Bluehost Review

Bluehost is a web hosting company founded by Matt Heaton and Danny Ashworth in Provo, Utah. They have 750 people working around the clock. As recommended sites for Wordpress.org, they have a one-click installation feature in all plans.

If you know a name in the web hosting world, Bluehost might be at the top of the list along with Inmotion and GreenGeeks. It started in 1996 and made it ancient by network standards, but I still like them.

In this article, I will take you behind the scenes and show you the features through my account. I will also provide a special offer for hosting manual visitors at the bottom of this page (you can replace the regular price of $3.95/mo at a price of $2.95).

When you finish reading this review, you will know what Bluehost expects and (just as importantly) what they don't expect.

There is no doubt that they have established a good reputation in the past decades, especially when it comes to WordPress hosting.

They are listed as one of the official recommended hosting providers for WordPress blogs and provide WordPress customers with many great tools, bonuses and resources.

Ready to find out more? We’re going to delve deep into the details in our Bluehost review. But let’s get started with a few quick facts first.

* Plans may seem cheap at first glance, but not all plans are as cheap as they seem. If you reach such an agreement, you can start shared hosting for only $2.95 a month. Otherwise, the starter plan usually costs $7.99 per month, which is reasonable. But the WP plan is very expensive, starting at $12.49 per month.
* Get unmetered bandwidth with all accounts.
* The starter plan comes with 100 email accounts. The Plus and Business Pro plans offer unlimited email accounts.
* up to $200 in marketing offer bonuses.
* Enhanced cPanel makes it easy to configure and control your sites

Decision: Which Level of Service Should You Choose?
Bluehost offers five main types of hosting plans:
Shared hosting
VPS hosting
Dedicated hosting
WordPress hosting
Cloud Sites

If you are looking for something cheap and basic, you may need shared hosting. This is what most beginners and small businesses are buying. Dedicated hosting is the most expensive option, suitable for large commercial companies that need complete control of their resources.

With dedicated hosting, you are actually renting a physical server. VPS hosting is an intermediate option where you can share a physical server with others, but you have a virtual operating system, so the server functions as if it were your physical server. WordPress hosting certainly sounds a lot like-hosting optimized for WordPress customers. Let's look at the hierarchy of each plan.

Shared Hosting

Basic: Beginning at $3.49 per month, this plan jumps up to $7.99 per month at the regular price.
Plus: This plan is regularly $10.99 per month.
Choice Plus: This plan is $23.99 per month.

These prices are very good. But through this transaction, you can be sure to get the best price! At the basic level, you will get a website, 50GB of space and unlimited bandwidth. You will also get one domain, five parking domains and 25 subdomains. Other features include 5 email accounts, each with 100 MB of storage space.

With the Plus or Choice Plus plan, you will get unlimited websites and unlimited space and bandwidth, which is great. You will include one domain, and you can have unlimited hosted domains and subdomains.

Unlimited email accounts and storage space, and a $200 marketing offer. In addition, it also includes a global CDN and a SpamExperts (extra revenue of more than 24 US dollars per year).

The highest level plan is Business Pro. It includes up to $180 in annual additional benefits, including two SpamExperts, an advanced SSL, a dedicated IP address, domain privacy, enhanced performance, and SiteBackup Pro.

VPS Hosting

Standard: $19.99 your first month, up to $29.99 after that
Enhanced: $29.99 your first month, up to $59.99 after that
Ultimate: $59.99 your first month, up to $119.99 after that

These prices are consistent with the typical costs of VPS hosting throughout the industry. The speed of the first two plans is 2 CPU cores, and the speed of the highest plan is three and four cores. The lowest tier can get 30GB of SAN storage, and the highest tier can get 120GB. RAM ranges from 2 GB to 8 GB. At the standard level, you get 1 TB of bandwidth, and at the final level, you get 3 TB of bandwidth. Each layer includes a domain. The standard layer includes one IP address; you are left with two. Each plan has 24/7 support and money-back guarantee.

Dedicated Hosting

Standard: $79.99 your first month, $119.99 per month after that.
Enhanced: $99.99 your first month, $159.99 per month after that.
Premium: $119.99 your first month, $209.99 per month after that.

With the standard plan or the enhanced plan, you will get 4 x 2.5GHz CPU. The premium plan provides you with 4 x 3.3GHz CPU. The storage ranges from 500GB to 1 TB (mirrored), the standard level of RAM starts from 4 GB, and the advanced level of RAM starts from 16 GB. You get 5 TB of bandwidth in the standard layer, 10 TB in the enhanced layer, and 15 TB in the advanced layer. Each plan contains a domain. You get three IP addresses in the standard version, four in the enhanced version, and five in the premium version. All plans are backed by 24/7 service and money-back guarantee.

WordPress Hosting

Basic: Starts at $2.95 with a 36 months subscription
Plus: Starts at $5.45/mo with a 36 months subscription
Choice Plus: Starts at $5.45/mo with a 36 months subscription

These plans look the same as their shared hosting plans and have the same price.

However, at the end of 2018, Bluehost introduced a new category: WordPress Pro.

WordPress Pro

These plans are very expensive compared to simple WordPress hosting and services offered by some competitors (many hosts sell WordPress hosting plans at the same price as common shared hosting plans).

However, Bluehost's WordPress Pro does make a lot of sense and is one of the company's most popular services (the company hosts more than a million websites).

Pro plans to run on high-performance VPS and increase site speed.

Build-level features include basic Jetpack website analysis, marketing center, 100 free premium themes, daily backups, and malware detection and removal to improve security.

The growth plan is an upgraded version of Jetpack Pro. With the business review tool, your visitors can leave positive Yelp, Google, Yahoo or Bing reviews for your business directly from your website. SEO tools provide you with real-time optimization tips on how to improve search engine rankings. It has been integrated into the "Marketing Center", where you can view statistics on the operation of the major search engines.

The top Scale plan provides you with Paypal integration and Elastic Search.

It is worth noting that you can get real-time support through Grow and Scale. It provides you with hands-on help on the design, functionality or general issues of a real WordPress expert 24/7.

All plans come with Positive Wildcard SSL, 24/7 service and money-back guarantee. These plans also include automatic plugin updates and regular backups, as well as a transitional environment that allows you to build and test your WordPress site before publishing it.

The feature that may not be used much is unlimited video compression. You can upload videos without optimizing for the web. Bluehost will take care of it. I did not use Bluehost for streaming, but the support staff told me that they have no limit on how many videos can be streamed.

These are excellent features, but you may still ask: "Why should I pay such a high fee for WordPress hosting?" Bluehost plays a very active role in the WordPress community and has a core staff of developers. This means that Bluehost can provide first-class customer support and can even solve complex problems unique to WP.

This is not to say that Bluehost is your only or best choice. However, hosts like Siteground can easily compete and cost less.

Blue Flash Launch Support

New to Bluehost and WordPress? Bluehost makes getting started with a special feature called Blue Flash Launch Support a breeze. This service is included in your hosting package for free. It takes the form of professional consultation with WordPress experts over the phone.
With Blue Flash Launch Support, you can enjoy a guided tour of the dashboard so that you can determine all the features and options available for publishing at a glance. During this induction training stage, you will have the opportunity to get answers to questions. Since WordPress can be intimidating for first-time users, this is a huge time saver and makes the startup process easier.
During the call, you will quickly set up your account and have the opportunity to choose a theme that suits your website style and purpose. According to your request, the options shown to you have been pre-reviewed.
Experts with Blue Flash Launch Support will even suggest suitable plugins for you. In this way, you can take advantage of all the features that WordPress must provide.
The Blue Flash team is available 24/7 every day of the week. This means that no matter where you are, you can use WordPress to get up and running quickly and start working on your website.
After using this free service, if you need more help with WordPress, you can choose to sign up for WP Live support for $99 per month.

Domain Name Email Address

Domain email addresses can go a long way when it comes to building brand awareness and building business trust and relationships. When purchasing a hosting plan from Bluehost, you can choose to register your own domain email address.
The most basic plan, Email Essentials, includes email and calendar, Outlook Web Access and 15 GB of email storage. If you get the Business Plus plan, the plan includes the same features as Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office Online, and 1 TB OneDrive.
The Business Pro plan adds Microsoft Office desktop version, Access + Publisher desktop version, Outlook customer manager and tools for booking and invoicing.
With all plans, your software will be updated automatically, and you will benefit from the security and recovery services provided by Microsoft Office 365. The easy-to-use user interface makes it easy to manage accounts with a single login. With a 99.9% uptime guarantee, your plan is backed by 24/7 customer support.
In addition, it allows you to use multiple devices to access these programs and tools. This means that no matter where you are, you can log in to manage your account and work on projects.
Domain email plans start at only a few dollars per month. This is impressively low cost and adds considerable value to your hosting plan.

eCommerce Features

An online store can be easily established using Bluehost, which offers many different shopping carts: Zen, Cube, Agora and OS Commerce. You can get SSL security for transactions, free generated certificates, and OpenPGP/GPG encryption.
Unlimited bandwidth sounds great, but I’m sure that if your site continues to have excellent traffic, they will restrict your account based on their fair use policy. There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. Bluehost must pay for the bandwidth you use. This applies to all web hosts. I suggest you read my article on bandwidth and disk space.
If you are a store owner, the $200 free marketing credit is also a great help. You can use them to promote business development through Google, Facebook, Bing and Twitter.
In summary, Bluehost is not particularly known for e-commerce, and certain sites make it easier and faster to set up a store. But Bluehost is an economical choice, and you will be able to use a lot of powerful features to help you sell online.

Refund Policy

Bluehost offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for its plans. In other words, if you cancel within the first 30 days, you will get a full refund. If you choose to cancel after this, you will not get a proportional refund during your unused hosting period. The domain name fee is not refundable. I have not yet tried to refund with them, so I can't say it is easy.
